Monitoring system is essential to ensure that services are running smoothly. However, with so many monitoring tools available in the market, it can take time to choose the right one.

Two of the most popular tools in the market are Grafana and Splunk. Grafana is an open-source platform for visualizing and analyzing data. At the same time, Splunk is proprietary software that allows you to search, analyze, and visualize data.

  • Use Splunk if you need a robust and scalable security and observability platform. Splunk is a paid platform, but it offers a wide range of features unavailable in Grafana. These features include:

  • Security analytics: Splunk can collect and analyze security logs, so you can quickly identify and respond to security threats.
  • Compliance reporting: Splunk can be used to generate compliance reports to show that you are meeting your regulatory requirements.
